I am a senior at Yale University double majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Visual Art.
I love understanding how things work and finding ways to improve existing devices and create new ones. I want to innovate and create things that are beautiful and can help our everyday lives.
Outside of design and engineering, I illustrate for different Yale publications, write articles, and am the president of the Bulgarian Society.
My favourite animal is the hippo.

Ivàn is not a traditional clock or a lamp, but an innovative melange of the two.
It takes a traditional clock and challenges the way we look at and approach time.
This object measures time with light based on the sun and the moon. The central piece shows the phases of the moon and the outer circle reflects the change of time based on moving LEDs. They also change color based on the motion of the sun throughout the day.
Ivàn is an object that looks simple, but has a lot of personality. It raises the question of how we approach time and encourages the viewer to stop, slow down, breathe, and reflect.
